PRT maintains a high public profile for prison reform. Independent press monitors showed that through national and regional printed press circulation alone, PRT reached between 22 million (highest) and 8 million people (lowest per month) in 2004 and 28 million (highest) and 6 million people (lowest per month) in 2005.
We have gained coverage, not only in every national and the major regional newspapers, but also in local papers across the country and specialist publications. Broadcasting has been equally comprehensive. As well as regularly appearing on flagship news programmes such as Today, 5Live, Sky News, Channel 4 News, Newsnight and BBC Breakfast.
PRT has contributed to discussion on the Moral Maze, Woman’s Hour, the Food programme and regional phone-ins and discussion programmes
