Building on the success of last year's competition the Prison Reform Trust is launching the competition for 2012.
The competition is open to prisoners, prisoners’ families and friends and former prisoners and your work must be in English.
Your work must be your own and you must stick to the word limit:
- Articles: 500 words maximum.
- Short stories: 1,000 words maximum.
- Lyric/rap: 400 words maximum.

- Femi Oyeniran
- Stella Tillyard
The judging panel will be chaired by Elisabeth Ribbans (managing editor of the Guardian)
