The St Giles Trust project, Peer Adviser Training for Prisoners, trains prisoners to provide housing advice to other prisoners, supported by specialist caseworkers. The project’s chief aim is to equip prisoners to help each other to break the cycle of prison, homelessness and re-offending. PRT is bringing an independent perspective to this important project, documenting the process by which St Giles Trust develops the project in a number of prisons in Kent, and gathering the views of prisoners on the impact of the project on their lives. | |
