PRISONER INFORMATION BOOKLETS
As part of our aim to provide information and help to prisoners and their families, we produce jointly with the Prison Service the following Prisoners' Information Books. • Male prisoners and young offenders
• Women prisoners and female young offenders
• Life sentenced prisoners - 'lifers'
• Visiting and keeping in touch
PRT can supply individual copies free of charge to people with a relative or friend in prison. We can also supply individual copies to probation officers, solicitors, and other interested professionals but we have to charge a small amount to cover postage and packing. Please contact PRT offices for details of these charges.
The Prisoners' Information Book is also translated into 22 languages: Albanian, Arabic, Bengali, Chinese, Dutch, French, German, Greek, Gujerati, Hindi, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Punjabi, Russian, Serbo Croat, Spanish, Tamil, Turkish, Urdu, Vietnamese and Welsh,
Each prison should have three copies of each book in its library. |
